Preparing for Airbrush Tans

The Airbrush formulas used is DHA (dihydroxyacetone) derived from sugar cane and is all organic, peta approved, vegan spray tan. Safe for women who are pregnant and nursing. Delivers healthy sun kissed glow without the damaging effects of UV radiation. Customized color blends for any skin tone! Great for vacations, special events, or those who want to feel bronzed and beautiful anytime!

1. PROPERLY EXFOLIATE YOUR SKIN

To best prepare for your appointment, start by exfoliating your skin. Exfoliants help get rid of the top layer of your skin and make it more receptive to the spray tan solution. Make sure your exfoliant is oil-free. Or use a dry brush (my personal favorite) or exfoliating gloves.

2. REMOVE LOTION AND MAKEUP

Be sure to remove any lotions, cream, or makeup prior to your appointment. The tanning solution will absorb and penetrate the skin better without a barrier on it. My tanning solution is very hydrating so post spray you will feel comfortable and don’t worry you will be able to hydrate your skin after rinsing once the solution has developed.

3. GET BEAUTY SERVICES BEFORE SPRAY TAN

Get all your beauty services, like nails, waxing, or a massage before your spray tan to avoid the potential of rubbing off a fresh spray tan. Make sure to wax at least 24 hours before a spray tan to make sure any leftover wax is cleaned off and hair follicle is closed.

4. SHAVE BEFORE APPOINTMENT

If you need to shave (not required if you don’t shave normally), do so 4 - 12 hours before your spray tan to avoid irritation.

5. DAY OF APPOINTMENT

On the day of your tanning appointment, please rinse the oils and creams off of the skin and arrive with no makeup, no deodorant, no lotion or perfumes, and wear loose- fitting clothing. I prefer long flowy pants and a loose t shirt of sorts for maximum comfort after the spray and to avoid the skin rubbing against anything.

24 Hours After Your Tan

The first 24 hours after your spray tan can make or break how it looks, so it's important to know what to do after a spray tan. With proper care, your spray tan will keep that stellar glow. Here are some of our favorite tips:

1. Wait at least 8 hours to let moisture get to the skin (2-5 hrs EXPRESS). Waiting longer doesn’t necessarily make you darker. Timing will also be discussed after your spray with me.

2. Use warm water not hot and rinse until you see the cosmetic bronzer come off. Water will run clear at the bottom of the tub then…

3. Use a quality hydrating cream post rinse or after showering. Do not use pure oil! Use cream whenever you feel dry. Hydrating is your best friend!

4. For best results avoid chlorine and pat dry the tan after any water activities. Avoid exfoliation until you are ready for the tan to be removed.

5. Enjoy your fabulous self and your fabulous glow!

Spray Tanning After Care

Your spray tan will last anywhere between 5-10 days, depending on your skin complexion and how you care for your tan. Taking good care of your skin and your tan in the week after a spray tan is super important, so try these tips:

1. MOISTURIZE DAILY

Make sure to moisturize in the morning and evening to keep your skin looking healthy. Use lotion twice daily in more dry climates if necessary.

2. AVOID SWIMMING

Avoiding swimming, long showers, baths, steam rooms, saunas, or any other activity that exposes your skin to being wet for long periods of time.

3. AVOID CHEMICALS, SULFATES, AND EXFOLIATION

Avoid harsh chemicals such as chlorine, products containing acids, soaps containing sulfates, massages, fashion tape, bandages, and anything else that may strip your tan. Don't exfoliate the skin until you are ready to remove your tan.

4. PAT DRY SKIN

It is important to pat dry your skin after being in water vs rubbing the skin because you don't want to exfoliate the tan off your skin. Gently pat dry when skin is wet.

5. Enjoy your fabulous Glow!!

Inquire if you are traveling or need your tan to last longer than 5-10 days, there are extending products available that I can recommend.

Please note that services provided and pricing may change at any time but will be discussed upfront prior to service. If you are dissatisfied with any service for any reason please reach out as soon as possible. In the event of an unsatisfactory service it is required you return to the studio to have the work inspected within 24 hours, at that time of review adjustments may be available at no cost. I reserve the right to refuse service at any time to anyone for any reason. Gift Cards are non refundable and never expire.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

We kindly ask that you communicate any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments at least 24 hours in advance to help us serve you and others effectively. If you will arrive more than 10 minutes late, please let us know right away; we’ll do our best to accommodate you, though rescheduling may be necessary. At the time of booking, a deposit is collected and applied to your total service cost, and while this deposit is non-refundable for cancellations after 24 hours prior to your appointment , it helps secure your spot. Please note that all packages and gift cards from Radiant Glow are non-refundable and have no expiration date, allowing you to enjoy our services at your convenience. We encourage you to double-check your schedule to ensure a seamless experience. Your understanding and cooperation with this policy are truly valued, as they allow us to maintain the high-quality service you deserve. Refund policy

We’re here to support you! If you need to cancel your service, please keep in mind that deposit fees are non-refundable if the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before your appointment. However, if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, we’re happy to refund your deposit automatically. Your understanding helps us respect our service providers' time, which is dedicated to you.
